How to convert to metastock downloader

Stages will indicate ability to do it in bulk


Stage 1

1.Download zip file(s).


Stage 2

1. Extract or just open the dk*** files
2. Copy all the data (Press Ctrl+A and Ctrl+C)
3. and transfer to excel (Press Ctrl+V) to column A, or any that you desire but make it sure the data are in a single column


Stage 2

1. Make a new column for the date in front of the column containing the data from Notepad
* Right click column A (or the column containing the data from the Notepad and then left click Insert
2. Enter / copy-paste the date for each row of data


Stage 3

1. Select the column(s) containing data from the zip file(s)
2. Go to data > text to column > fixed delimiter
- ps: If the data won't convert perfectly you just have to edit manually



In the first row, copy paste this:
This header needed for the metastock converter

date ticker open high low close volume
1. Open The Metastock Downloader


from the metastock downloader, choose convert > choose the MSEXCEL file
( watch out for the DOWNLOADER options )
